PENDANT WITH CHAIN

The white flower of the semi-evergreen shrub called Tarata (Tecoma stans) in Odia is famously offered to the gods in the temples as an offering. It flowers, known for their cluster tulip shapes in yellow and white, are grown for ornamental purposes. The wood is used in furniture and its classic edgy leaves have been known to be a potent anti-venom. Our depiction of the Tarata leaves in their edged glory and natural veins in stoneware complete with a chain made of natural fibres and packaged in a hand carved wooden box is a reminder to us to wear our living heritage with a smile. The pendant comes with threads made of natural fibre and dhokra beads.

Each handmade ceramic stoneware pendant piece is carefully crafted to reflect the natural elements of the leaf, vine or flower and elements from local craft traditions are reference. CARE INSTRUCTIONS

-This product is handcrafted and therefore slight variations in colours, textures and forms are inevitable and aren’t flaws.

– Our ceramic jewelry is covered and protected with a waterproof glaze. Despite its toughness, ceramic jewelry may scratch or shatter upon impact, so treat your pieces with care.

– Clean by wiping with a soft, damp cloth. You can also use warm, soapy water and a soft cloth for pieces that need a deeper cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners or polishing cloths.
